Amazing example of steel Patek Philippe ref. 565, manufactured in 1948.
The present specimen stands out for the extraordinary condition of its case and dial.
It is also the very last example of this reference featuring the long “Patek Philippe & Co” signature, since from 1948 they switched to the simpler “Patek Philippe”.
This model is fitted with a screw back for enhanced protection against humidity and dust, and an inner second cover to shield the movement against magnetic fields.
The timeless design of the reference 565 represents one of the best examples of understated elegance.
