Extremely rare and absolutely impressive example of yellow gold Split-second chronograph manufactured by Eberhart in the 1940’s. The present watch stands out for the mint condition of the over sized case combined with a rare and charming salmon dial. With the present model Eberhard introduced in 1939 not only its first Split-seconds chronograph but also a very important innovation: the pusher integrated into the winding crown that controls the start, stop and reset functions and the top pusher controlling the Split-seconds function. The Split-second complication was very useful on race tracks allowing to register both the overall duration of a race as well as its single laps. Definitely a great example in which rarity and timeless elegance meet exceptional condition.
