Breathtaking example of 18k pink gold Patek Philippe ref. 1579 manufactured in 1952. Introduced in 1943, reference 1579 is one of the rarest Patek Philippe chronographs and it is known as “Spider lugs” among collectors due to its unusual and captivating faceted lugs.
Mainly cased in yellow gold, pink gold examples are exceedingly rare. The present specimen stands out for its superlative condition. The amazing dial features applied pink gold Arabic and square-faceted hour markers and is enhanced by an outer tachymeter scale.
The case is incredibly well preserved: the sharp lugs and crisp hallmarks make it one of the best examples ever appeared. Accompanied by the sought after original “Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and Guarantee”.
